Trips and visits to places of historical and practical interests have their own significance. A trip leaves an everlasting effect on an individual. SCS arrange free visits for the students to Bank, Post office, Railway station, Easy Day, gurudwara sahib, sadabart nature trail. So that tiny tots are familiar with the outer world in real life settings.
In accordance with P.M. Sh. Narendra Modi Ji’s vision of making education stress free and more of practical value, Saturday have been declared as “Bag Free” Days. Students learn in a friendly manner. They learn by actually doing things. A very impactful method of teaching shapes is letting students cut paper in shape of triangle. All students make a triangle in the playground and held the things of triangle shape.
For another instance, teachers dressed up in the disguise of different characters of the famous panchtantra story “The Hare & The Tortoise”. Teachers enacted and narrated the story in most effective way. Children learnt the story in most effective way. At the same time, they learnt the moral value of being persistent in effort. They learnt narrative skills and stage management. Numerous such sessions are held for making the process of learning more effective.
In order to sensitize the tiny tots about colour, Saturdays areobserved as Green day, Red day, Yellow day, etc. students wear the dresses of specific colour, recite poems, hold the things and give object talk pertaining to a particular colour.
Wednesday is specifically celebrated as “Express Day”. Kids try to express themselves in different ways. Students develop confidence to use vocabulary effectively and express themselves to others.
