Lohri Celebrated in the month of January is one of the most popular festivals in India. Apart from numerous local legends that mark their festival an important connection is established between change of season and this auspicious festival. People light auspicious fire and pour jaggery and sesame seeds as an offering in the holy fire. They seek blessings of god for good yield and pleasant weather. Lohri is celebrated in SCS with rare zeal and in all its native fervor with song sung and holy fire lit by staff and students. Sweets are served to students and staff on this occasion.
